One thing I love about living in the Pacific Northwest is picking fresh blackberries off the vine each spring. I know blackberries aren't unique to the PNW, but they sure weren't around where I grew up in Texas.
The other day when I arrived home after work, my youngest son came running out to great me. Or so I thought. He actually ran right past me to the blackberry vine so that he could get a snack! I couldn't blame him. The berries were super ripe and tasty! I dropped my bags right in the drive way and joined him for a nice time of grazing on fresh blackberries together.
I love how simple moments can produce such great memories. I was so glad I had my camera close so I could capture the moment! Note the blackberry dribble running out of the right side of his mouth! :)
